Titan installs various measures to reduce air infiltration into the home. Our crews caulk windows, replace weather-stripping and door sweeps, repair drywall, install attic fan covers, seal mechanical closets and seal plumbing penetrations. A diagnostic test, called a Blower Door, is performed before and after work is completed to quantify air leakage reduction and help identify sources of air loss.
Leaks in ducts are a significant source of energy loss in homes. It allows the expensive conditioned air to escape outside of the house. Titan ES performs a Duct Blaster test to identify leaks. Titan crews will use Mastic and other professional-grade HVAC materials to seal the duct system and improve efficiency. Typically, improvements are made to the plenum, return box, supply registers and duct joints. Pre- and post-duct blast tests are performed to quantify air loss reduction. Improvements in duct performance can result in significant energy savings, increased airflow and reduced cold rooms in the winter and hot rooms in the summer.
Our crews will install blown-in insulation to bring your attic to an R-38 value. Additional attic insulation will provide more energy efficiency and comfort to your home for years to come.
Titan performs a carbon monoxide test on all gas appliances to detect potential hazards and installs a CO detector if one is not present. Additionally, fresh air vents are installed in water heater/furnace closets as needed to optimize HVAC performance and customer safety.
Titan crews will install water jackets to water heaters and pipe insulation to the hot water outlet pipe. The result will be less work on your water heater to provide hot water to your home and extend its life.

The process begins with a phone interview with one of our experienced customer service representatives. After a quick phone interview about your home, we will schedule an appointment with one of our Home Assessors. They will do a walk-through to evaluate your home envelope (doors, windows, plumbing penetrations, etc.), duct system, attic insulation and water heater. Carbon Monoxide tests are performed, and the customer is informed immediately of any reason work cannot be performed along with corrective action.
If the assessor determines it to be a viable project, they will explain the various actions your home is needing to become more energy efficient. Each action is priced separately so you can decide which items have a higher priority, so you can make an informed decision. The information is returned to the office, and if you choose to proceed, the work is scheduled for a day convenient for you.
On the scheduled date of work, the Titan crew leader will explain the work to be performed and answer any questions. The Crew will perform a Blower Door and Duct Blaster test before installing corrective measures, if applicable.
Upon completion, Blower Door and Duct Blasting tests are again performed to determine a drop in leakage, followed by a final inspection. The crew leader reviews work completed with the customer and addresses any questions or concerns.
